Consent is asked for in writing, it is never assumed, and it can be withdrawn at any time by one email. This page explains exactly what we photograph, where it appears, and how to opt out.
A photograph is how a sceptical parent decides to say yes.
Most families hear about the Academy from a school counsellor or a Rotarian, and the first thing they want is evidence that it is real, safe and worth four days of their child’s summer. Photographs of last year’s cohort do that better than any description we could write.
They also make the program possible. Rotary clubs decide each year whether to sponsor students, and businesses decide whether to fund the week. Both look at what actually happened before they commit. Every photograph on this site is doing that work.

Withdrawing consent takes one email
You do not need a reason, and it does not matter how long ago the Academy was. Photographs of alumni from 2022 are still on this site, and a family from that year can have their child removed today.

Gwenn Carr, our Program Manager, handles photo requests personally. There is no form and no ticket queue — you will get a reply from a person.
A four-day, three-night residential STEM academy for nominated 7th graders, funded by the Rotary Clubs of District 7430 and hosted at Kutztown University. Funds are administered by the Allentown West Rotary Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3).
