Originally a SETI Institute curriculum, reworked by our own faculty. Students work in teams across four days toward a single deliverable — a model Mars habitat they design, build, and then defend to their parents.
Lab sessions where students reason the way mission scientists do — hypothesis, data, defense.
Every team presents its habitat to family, faculty, and their sponsoring Rotary Club.
Funds tuition and appoints a Club Representative to run point.
Identifies current 7th graders who would benefit most, and nominates them.
Completes registration and medical forms — no cost, no fundraising.
"It's a residency, not a summer camp — and it doesn't cost families a thing."
A four-day, three-night residential STEM academy for nominated 7th graders, funded by the Rotary Clubs of District 7430 and hosted at Kutztown University. Funds are administered by the Allentown West Rotary Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3).
