STEM YEA Student Registration Process

A local Rotary Club sponsors the seat. Registration is completed through a Rotary Club that has allocated funds for STEM YEA tuition and appointed a Local Club Representative to coordinate registration.

The school nominates students. The Club Rep works with a middle school principal or other administrator to identify current 7th graders (2026–2027 school year) who are:
✓Motivated learners in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
✓Likely to succeed in a four-day, three-night hands-on STEM experience at Kutztown University
✓Unable to otherwise access STEM enrichment activities

The Club Rep helps the family complete the paperwork. Working with the parents or guardians and the school, the Club Rep sees the three registration steps below through to completion.

✓Student Registration Form. Complete and submit the online form. The parent or guardian receives a confirmation email.
✓Waivers and permissions. Download and print, complete and sign, then scan or photograph and email to registration@stemyea.com.
✓Health history. Complete the online Student Health History form, then send a completed 6th-grade health history form to health@stemyea.com. The school nurse usually has it; if not, have a licensed medical professional complete and sign the provider form on the For Parents page. Due within two weeks of registering.
Medication
Parents and guardians provide any medication their student requires to the STEM YEA nurse at check-in on Thursday, June 24, 2027, in its original labeled pharmacy container with enough for four days. The nurse administers all medication during the Academy unless a self-carry order is produced.
